What I got for my Birthday 2017!

Hi all,
As I said last week, this weeks post lists and talks about many of the things I got for my Birthday this year. My Birthday was two weeks ago now so this post probably could have been up sooner but at least this way I have been able to try the gifts before I talk about them!
 Hope you enjoy!

The first item is this Kenneth Cole Reaction  bluetooth speaker that I got from one my aunties. It is really small but works well. It came with a little car that the speaker fits into so you can attach to your keyring. I have not used it for long periods of time so I don't know how good the battery life is but so far I love it!

The next thing, well things, is this box from my bestfriend that was filled with goodies and decorated really nicely! Inside was a pink floral makeup bag with a dog on that is the same breed and looks just like my dog which of course I love! I love that when I go on holiday my makeup bag will remind me of her! There was also a pink nail polish, which you can't see very well in the photo but is a china glaze nail polish in the colour 'something sweet' which is a really nice pail pink colour. There is also mini ted baker body spray and face mask. Then there was also a little bee necklace shown above on the right that was also in the box. What is not in the picture (because I have eaten them) but in the box was a chocolate bar and some very tasty home made brownies! I really love this gift and think it was a very thoughtful present!

Clothes!

The next few are clothes, I got some money from my auntie and uncle and I bought this striped fruit shirt and the jeans below from Zara! This shirt it is covered in tiny images of fruit.
I also got these floral embroidered mom Jeans from Zara with the money my auntie and uncle gave me. I really like jeans with a bit of pattern on such as embroidery or print, so when I saw these in the sale I was so happy with them!

My parents also gave me some money to buy some new clothes and I bought this superdry denim jacket, which is a pale blue with some slight rips in the body.

My nanny bought me these shorts, that I can wear on holiday. These shorts are from fat face. I really like the pattern on these shorts and they are loose fitted shorts so don't make you feel to hot.
Body Creams and Washes!
I got these body shop goodies form one of my friends. I love The Body Shop and these smell so nice.
I received these Zoella Beauty products from my auntie and uncle (who also bought me the bluetooth speaker) I really like the hand cream it is very moisturising but seems to sink into your hands really quickly. I have had the 'creamy madly dreamy' moisturiser before and really liked so i will look award to using that again! I have never tried the soap pop so I'm not sure whats this is like but it smells really nice!

From another one of my friends I got these Molton Brown minis! Which smell so nice and are perfect  to take on holiday with me.
Amazon Alexa
The final present I got was the amazon echo dot, I really love it, Im sure you will have seen it but if your haven't it is a voice controlled speaker that does lots of things, such as play music or the radio set timers and alarms, turn lights on and off if smart lights are fitted, make to do and shopping lists.
I have used this so much since I got it. I love that you can play radio and change the volume by just speaking without having to press any buttons form anywhere in the room, I also have an audible account so I have been listening to audiobooks each night before I go to bed.  I would definitely recommend the echo dot.
Thank-you for reading, hope you enjoyed! Bye for now, see you next week!

Birthday and Little Update!

Hi all,
This week was the first week of my summer holidays! I have however been quite busy so I have not got all I wanted done, so this only going to be little update but I hope you enjoy it all the same.

Friday was my Birthday! I had such a nice day I was in school so I did have to get up early to catch the bus but I was with all my friends, who made my day feel so special (I will talk more about this in my what I got for my Birthday post which will come soon)! We then finished school at 10:30 and went to Wagamamas for lunch, it was so good and they gave me birthday cake! Once we finished at Wagamama me and my best friend went to hobby craft, which is one of my favourite shops and I bought some craft supplies for a scrapbook!

Over the summer holidays I am going to create a scrap book of all the fun things I do with my friends and family. I have so far done one page with all of pictures and things from my Birthday, and I look forward to filling with pictures of me and family and of all things I do in Croatia!

Then at the weekend I went shopping with my parents in a big shopping centre and to Zizzi's for lunch. I had another really nice day! I only bought two items, and they were both in the sale! - I will add these into the what I got for my Birthday post.

Sorry this is a bit of a short not much going on kind of post but things have been so busy and everything has been a bit of a mess I have been trying reorganise my room and get lots done. I have been working of lots of things for my etsy shop see last weeks post -here-. I read a recent blog post from Poppy Deyes titled 'taking a breather' (Click -Here- to view that post) and I feel, not necessarily, that I need a break but I need to get back into all the organisation I was once really good at. I feel I need a bit more routine. I have loads of blog post ideas that I am so exited to create and post over the summer, so please bare with me for those.

Thanks for reading! What type of posts are your favourite? Let me know in the comments.
Bye for now, see you again next week!

ForgetMeNotz, My Etsy Shop!

Hi all
This week has been the last week of school for me, I have one more day tomorrow then I have 7 weeks off! I am so exited! And to add to that tomorrow is my Birthday!

Today I wanted to share with you my Etsy shop. I love making things and I always have done, well as long as I can remember, so I have decided to make and try and sell some of my handmade cards. The shop is fairly empty at the moment I have six cards on, but I am currently working on new designs and I look forward to sharing those with you over the summer.

Here are the six cards currently listed on my Etsy shop!

If you would like to have a look in more detail at my Etsy shop you can here: www.forgetmenotz.co.uk

I made the shop in 2015 to sell some small keyring's I had made but it didn't go well, but I'm trying again. I have renamed it ForgetMeNotzStore (I thought it fitting for a card shop)and I will be selling cards and maybe other handmade stationary products in the future (I have some exiting ideas I am working on at the moment). I am very exited to share this on my blog and hope you like the cards!

Thankyou for reading, hope you enjoyed! I'd love to know what you think in the comments below.
Bye for now, See you next week!

Blueberry Lemonade!

Hi all,
This week has felt so summery! I love lemonade and its always so nice and refreshing in the summer! So here is a delicious recipe for homemade blueberry lemonade!

Ingredients
2/3 cup of caster sugar
1 teaspoon of lemon zest (the zest of 1 lemon)
1/2 cup of Blueberries
2/3 cup of water
1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 cups of ice or water
3 cups of sparking water or club soda

1) Add the sugar, lemon zest, blueberries and water to a small saucepan.

2) Bring to the boil over a medium heat. Once boiling leave to simmer for 10 minutes, or until the sugar has dissolved and the blueberries soften.

3) Remove from the heat and pass through a fine sieve. Leave the blueberry syrup mixture to cool.

4) If you using ice, add the fresh lemon juice, ice, and blueberry syrup to a large blender and blend until smooth. If your using water you can just mix the lemon juice, water and ice together.

5) When you are ready to drink add the sparkling water or club soda and enjoy. If your not going to drink it all at once keep the lemon mixture separate from the club soda/sparking water in the fridge.

Thank you for reading, hope you enjoyed! What is your favourite summer drink?
Bye for now, see you next week!

Fitness! Fitness! Fitness!

Hi all
This week I have a fitness post for you. I am definitely not not a fitness expert but I do enjoy fitness and one of my new year goals was to do more fitness. So far I do think I have met this goal. I have also started running with one of my friends, but it is wether dependant and the weather has not been as good this week. I have still been doing Lucy Whyndam-Ready You tube fitness videos, she has been doing fitness challenges every other month with a new video each day, one day a cardio video and the next a toning workout. The July challenge starts on on the first.

Here are some of of favourites of Lucy's videos:

Here are some of the sports leggings I love and have been wearing for my fitness

Image from www.usapro.co.uk
I love these marble effect leggings. They have a netted strip down one side. I really like the pattern.

I also really love these sports leggings. I have two pairs of these in this colour and in pink they are really comfortable and fit well.

Thank you for reading. Do you know of any good fitness videos or apps? Where do you like to buy sports clothes from?

Summer Outfit!

Hi all
This week and last weeks has been so hot! England has had big heat wave a heatwave! Here is one of the summer outfits I have been loving this week! I really like this outfit I have chosen I feel it is really summery due to all the floral prints. I love floral and almost all my clothes have flowers on them, evan my shoes have flowers on them!
As not all this stuff is not current season I can't leave the exact link but I have picked out some similar items from the same shops that I also love and left the links below!

This top is from New Look, it is a very light fabric. There are fabric coverd buttons all the way up the back of the top and I really like the pom pom trim round the bottom edge of the top.

Similar New Look top Click Here

These shorts are from New Look.
I really love these, I like denim shorts and I  love that these ones have floral detailing along the edges and on the pockets. I have owned these for quite a while now and they are still definitely my favourite shorts!

These shoes are from Ecco. I really like these shoes as I love the floral pattern on them! I have to wear orthotic insoles so finding shoes that are deep enough for the insoles is quite a challenge as I always used to wear converse. Most of the shoes in Ecco are deep enough for the insoles and they have got some really nice shoes!

These sunglasses are from Topshop. I put these in the clothing haul on here a while ago (you can check that out here) but in the sun we have had this week you really need your sunglasses so of course I had to include them!

Simple DIY Fathers Day Card

Hi all,
I have a DIY today, this Sunday is fathers day (at least in the UK) so if you are yet to get a fathers day card then here is a super simple DIY card you can make.

You Will Need
Plain White Card to decorate
Three pieces of coloured card or paper (any pattern or colour you want)
Two Buttons
Strip of paper or card play or subtle pattern for the background
String
Thin strip of colour plain card (I used a sparkley grey card)

Fold the card in half and cut out a small triangle as shown in the picture above, so when opened you have two triangle shapes joined together. Continue cutting out the triangles so you have enough to go across the card I used five triangles but it depends on what size you make them.

Once you have enough triangles fold them over the string as shown above to make the bunting.

Stick the backing paper or card onto the plain white card. Thread the buttons onto the string so the ends are hidden behind the buttons and stick the buttons onto the card, as shown in the picture above.

Stick the strip of of card over the edge of the background card as shown above.

Write or print (my writing is not neat but I still wanted to write on the front the card) out a "Happy Fathers Day" message and put it on the bottom of the card as shown above. You could also change the message on the front of the card to make it a Birthday card or thank you card!

Thank you for reading, hope you enjoyed. Let me know if you make the card! Bye for now, see you next week.

Small stud Earrings!

Hi all,
Hope you have had a good week! This week I finished my end of year exams, which I am so happy about! This Saturday it is six weeks since I got a second ear piercing so that means I am soon finally able to change my earrings! Here is a collection of earnings that I have bought ready to wear as soon as I can change my earrings, they are all small studs as I like the look of smaller earrings in the second piercing.

This first pair was bought from Accessorize. if you have been reading a while you will know how much i love that shop, hey have so many earrings and bags, I also love their bags.

This pair was again from Accessorize. I love these, they look so cute and I can't wait to wear them!

These yet again were from Accessorize.  These were part of a set with all gold stems, as for newly pierced ears gold and sterling silver are meant to be better for ears and prevent infection.

These were from Silverado in Brighton that I bought these quite a while ago when we went to Brighton for the day! I love these they are rose gold triangles, so will go with quite a lot of my other jewellery! I really love the shop Silverado and I definitely want to buy some more jewellery from there.

These little stars were from Accessorize. Again these were from the set of gold stemmed earrings I really like these earrings (but excuse the odd reflective shine above them)

Thank you for reading! What shops would you recommend for earrings? Please let me know in the comments, as you can see from this post I need to broaden my earring shop options!
Bye for now, See you next week!

Motivation!

Hi all,
I have one week until the final assessments are done, then there is only half a term until summer!! I know that this time of year is also very busy and stressful for those doing GCSEs (good luck if you are doing your GCSEs at the moment!) So this week on my blog I thought I would share a motivational quote!

"Don't be afraid to fail be afraid to fail"

If it's exams or GCSEs you've got coming up then just think you have put in all the effort, been to all the lessons and put in your best, so the night before or when you walk into that exam room don't be afraid to fail, but try your best!

Just think, soon these exams will be over and you will have a great summer! I know, last year when I did my GCSEs the feeling when all your exams are done and you can move all your revision books and notes out of the way, is AMAZING!

Thank you for reading, hope you enjoyed! What is your favourite motivational quote? Let me know in the comments below! Good luck if you still have exams!
Bye for now, see you next week!

Delicious Cheesecake!

Hi all,
This week I have done some baking. I made this cheesecake. It tastes so nice and was actually really simple to make! It would make the perfect cake to server at summer barbecues or parties!

Ingredients
225g of original digestive biscuits
100g of melted butter
250g of mascarpone
600g of soft cheese
4 eggs (2 whole eggs 2 egg yokes)
zest of 3 lemons, juice of 1
4 tbsp plain flower
175g caster sugar

For the top
142ml pot of soured cream
3tbsp of lemon curd
handful or raspberries (or strawberries)

How to make the cake!
Preheat the oven to 180'c/gas mark 4.

Line the bottom only of a 23cm springform tin with greaseproof paper.
Tip the biscuits into a food processor and blitz to make fine crumbs then add the melted butter and blitz again. Tip the mixture in to the tin and press then place in the fridge to chill.

In a bowl whisk together all the other ingredients until completely combined.

Pour (more a scoop) into the tin and bake for 35-40 minutes until the cheesecake wobbles slightly when moved.

Turn off the evan and leave the cake to completely cool inside. When cooled remove from tin and top with soured cream, swirl the lemon curd over the top and decorate with berries!

Then eat it and enjoy!

Thank you for reading, you enjoyed! What is your favourite type of cake? let me know in the comment section! Bye for now, see you again next week!
